Who is I-Eat?
We are a company founded in 2018 with the goal of revolutionizing the Ho.Re.Ca. sector by producing high-quality, quick-to-restore, safe, and shelf-stable ready-made meals.
How does sous vide cooking work?
Sous-vide cooking was introduced in the 1970s primarily for hygiene reasons and then to preserve the organoleptic characteristics of foods. Placed in special vacuum-sealed bags, foods are cooked in water or in a steam oven at low temperatures (50° to 100°C). This type of cooking offers significant advantages because it minimizes the presence of oxygen, thus hindering the proliferation of microorganisms and preserving the natural flavor, color, and aroma of ingredients.
Sous-vide and low-temperature cooking allows foods to:
preserve vitamins and minerals by 85% compared to raw products (traditional cooking methods only retain 10-20%)
increase the shelf life of the product by up to 3-4 times compared to foods cooked using traditional methods.
How does HPP treatment work?
HPP, or high-pressure pascalization, is a cold process that uses ultra-high-pressure water (6,000 bar) to keep food, sealed in flexible packaging, free of bacteria. This all-natural, heat-free process preserves the flavors, colors, and vitamins of freshly cooked food while also extending its shelf life.
By eliminating existing microorganisms, cold HPP technology ensures maximum food safety for up to 90 days, without the need for preservatives or chemical additives.
Are ready meals safe?
Yes, for I-Eat, food safety is the most important aspect.
This is why, in addition to sous vide cooking, ideal for preserving the organoleptic characteristics of foods, we also combine high-pressure cold cooking.
HPP uses extremely high hydrostatic pressure that damages cell membranes, deforms enzyme walls, and thus inactivates all microorganisms. By thus reducing the bacterial load, foods achieve a high level of sterilization and eliminate potentially harmful bacteria (Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus, to name a few), parasites, molds, and yeasts.
How to store the products?
Thanks to sous vide cooking and high hydrostatic pressure treatment, I-Eat ready meals extend their shelf life up to 90 days.
Without the need for a freezer, the dishes can be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature between 0° and 4°.
An ideal solution for optimizing food supplies and avoiding waste.
How to revive food?
I-Eat ready-made meals can be served in minutes and are designed to provide a high-quality solution for all businesses, even those without a fully equipped kitchen.
To instantly revive products and rediscover the flavors, colors, and aromas of freshly cooked food, you can choose between:
microwave (1-5 minutes)
oven (5-10 minutes)
bain-marie (10-15 minutes)
pan-frying (10-15 minutes)
What’s the difference between a frozen ready meal and a ready-made meal?
I-Eat ready-made meals, cooked sous vide and treated with patented HPP technology, are the ideal solution for optimizing kitchen management, time, and costs.
Through low-temperature sous vide cooking, the organoleptic qualities of foods are preserved intact, avoiding the loss of vitamins and minerals typical of frozen products.
Without the need to carefully calculate cooking times, which in the case of frozen products must also include the time required for thawing food to avoid sudden temperature changes that could affect its quality, I-Eat ready-made meals can be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature between 0° and 4°C for up to 90 days, in complete safety. Reheating the dishes is quick and easy: in just 2 minutes, they’re ready to serve.
How many recipes are available?
